Select a mounting location that will provide a strong, solid and reliable surface. Avoid weak areas or uneven surfaces. Ensure that when deployed, there is adequate clearance between propellers and other dangerous items.

Place the product in the desired mounting location with the brackets attached and mark the position of the mounting brackets.

Once the brackets have been marked, remove the product and mark each of the mounting brackets two holes.

The telescoping functionality of the product may bind excessively if the mounting brackets are not installed in a parallel fashion. Before drilling any mounting holes, place the product into its proposed location and ensure that its range of motion necessary for deployment and retrieval is not impeded by any boat surface or structure. Drill a ¼” hole for each of the marked mounting bracket holes.

The product should be mounted with ¼” diameter stainless steel bolts. The bolts should have large washers or a backing plate to help to distribute the load incurred when the product is fully deployed.

Tighten the bolts, making sure the mounting brackets are firmly attached to the mounting surface.

Finally, insert the ¼” bolt through each arm of the unit. Make sure to check and finalize all installations prior to deploying, retrieving, or climbing on the product.

If your mounting surface is unique, please contact us or send a digital picture. We may have some ideas or have solved the same problem for someone else already!

Operation:(Click any image to enlarge)

To deploy, lift the ladder platform off the deck surface.

Rotate the ladder platform on its mounting brackets until vertical. Extend the telescoping arms by gently pulling up on both sides. Push the extended ladder past vertical toward the water and release to let it sink into the water.

The momentum of this action as well as gravity will fully extend the ladder platform. The ladder platform is now deployed and ready to use.

To retrieve the platform, pull the quick retrieve handle-

lifting the ladder platform out of the water until it is vertical.

Gently push or tap on the top of the ladder platform to compress the telescoping arms. As the arms compress, the Click Slide brackets will fold into their storage position. Be careful not to place hands or fingers in between the ladder platform and the Click Slide brackets or they may get caught.

Once the telescoping arms have been compressed. Lay the ladder platform flush on the deck and wrap the QuickTrieve cord and handle around the unit for storage.

Maintenance:

The ladder platform is designed and manufactured to require little maintenance; however, a few simple items will extend the life of your product:
  • Periodic washing off with fresh water, both inside and out
  • Periodic lubrication of the telescoping arms using silicone or similar substance (thoroughly spray into the hole in the bottom and top caps)
  • Wipe down the product from time to time to remove dirt and grime
  • Periodic polishing with a stainless steel polish for marine applications
  • Periodic inspection of the mounting brackets for safety and deterioration of the mounting surface
Safety Tips:

  • Keep fingers and toes clear of click slide brackets and studs as well as telescoping arms.
  • Do not jump on the ladder, or dive from the ladder.
  • Step in the center of ladder steps.
  • Only one person should ascend the ladder at a time.
  • Face the ladder when ascending or descending.
  • Do not use the ladder while engine is running.
