Select a mounting location that will provide a strong, solid and reliable surface. Avoid weak areas or uneven surfaces. Ensure that when deployed, there is adequate clearance between propellers and other dangerous items.
Place the product in the desired mounting location with the brackets attached and mark the position of the mounting brackets.

Once the brackets have been marked, remove the product and mark each of the mounting brackets two holes.

The telescoping functionality of the product may bind excessively if the mounting brackets are not installed in a parallel fashion. Before drilling any mounting holes, place the product into its proposed location and ensure that its range of motion necessary for deployment and retrieval is not impeded by any boat surface or structure.
Drill a 1/4" hole for each of the marked mounting bracket holes.

The product should be mounted with 1/4" diameter stainless steel bolts. The bolts should have large washers or a backing plate to help to distribute the load incurred when the product is fully deployed.

Tighten the bolts, making sure the mounting brackets are firmly attached to the mounting surface.

Finally, insert the 1/4" bolt through each arm of the unit. Make sure to check and finalize all installations prior to deploying, retrieving, or climbing on the product.

If your mounting surface is unique, please contact us or send a digital picture. We may have some ideas or have solved the same problem for someone else already!

Lift the ladder off the deck, extend by grasping the lowest rung and lifting. Rotate the ladder over the brackets and drop into the water.
To retrieve, lift the ladder out of the water to a vertical position. Collapse the telescoping rungs being careful not to place body parts in between the rungs as they collapse. Once collapsed, lay the ladder down on the swim platform or mounting surface.
